Coastal Home offers a 10 year structural warranty on Beach Living & Vintage Collection. We will replace any item that experiences structural damage or failure during the course of regular use, or any item that does not meet our standards.
We source from our partner factories around the globe, and our owners and managers frequently travel to oversee quality control and work with furniture producers to ensure the highest quality items for our Outer Banks market.
Traditional joinery and hand construction techniques are used by individual craftsmen making our products. As such, variations in dimension or finish should be expected. With our “reclaimed” products, there will be significant variation in surface textures and color shading. Solid wood furniture is affected by humidity and atmospheric pressures, so it continually responds to its environment. Some splitting, cracking, warping, or other movement of wood components may occur. All of these factors are non-structural and are part of the character and appeal of our product.
**CHARACTERISTICS OF RECLAIMED WOOD**
Some products are handcrafted of solid reclaimed timbers from the exteriors of decades-old buildings. Each unique item displays the nicks, knots and imperfections that speak to the wood’s former life.
*Please note that the variations and different characteristics you can expect from reclaimed timbers are not only expected but add to the appeal of the piece! These rustic finishes are also very forgiving – as years pass, the memories you and your guests will make will be etched on these surfaces, adding to their character and charm.
